A practical kit for instructors

Español

Plan and run the 210-minute workshop with the resources below. The agenda includes the quizzes and breaks. Group activities replace practice or discussion time; notebook 13 stays take-home work.

Prepare your session

  1. Share the prerequisites with learners and ask them to run notebook 00 before class.
  2. Read the facilitator guide alongside the workshop schedule.
  3. Test your selected notebooks in fresh runtimes. Follow Core prep, then Core activity, and prepare the slides and quizzes.

Teaching resources

  • Facilitator guide — Prepare the room, follow the section timings, and respond when learners get stuck.
  • Entry and exit checks — Collect individual reasoning at the start and end; use the included key and rubric.
  • Group tasks — Choose short discussions with a time box and a concrete group deliverable.
  • Worked mistakes — Ask learners to predict, test a counterexample, and explain the correction.
  • Feedback form — Collect two minutes of feedback after the session and choose one improvement for the next run.

During and after the workshop

Use Predict → Run → Explain → Check. Ask for an attempt before opening solutions, rotate group roles, and keep the scheduled breaks and exit check. The facilitator guide places the activities within the existing time slots.

After the session, record actual section timings and common errors with the workshop version you taught. Keep learner responses private and use the feedback to choose one concrete change for your next session.
